Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
We believe privacy policies should be readable by actual humans. So here's ours — in plain English, no small print.
Who we are
We're Dagger Interactive, an AR, VR and WebAR development studio based in the UK. You can reach us at here.
What data we collect and why
1. Enquiry form submissions
When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send us. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. We don't add you to any mailing list without asking first.
2. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous data about how visitors find and use our site — things like which pages are popular, how long people spend reading, and roughly where visitors are located (country level).
This helps us improve the site. We don't use this data to identify you personally, target you with ads, or share it with anyone.
If you click "No thanks", no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics still receives a cookieless, anonymous signal (via Google's Consent Mode) that helps us understand overall traffic patterns without any personal data.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies | Essential (localStorage) |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics — anonymous site usage statistics | Analytics (consent required) |
Your consent preference is stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie itself), so it persists between visits.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Withdraw your cookie consent at any time
- Object to how we process your data
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)
Change your cookie settings
You can update your preference at any time.
Third parties
We use Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC) for anonymous analytics. Google processes this data on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. You can read Google's privacy policy for more detail.
We don't use any advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party scripts.
How long we keep data
Enquiry form submissions are kept only as long as needed to process your request. Google Analytics retains event data for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.
Questions?
If anything here isn't clear, or you want to exercise any of your rights, just email us. We'll always reply in plain English.
