Think in Steps
An interactive experience is a sequence of moments: noticing it, approaching, learning how it works, taking part and leaving. If any step fails, the whole experience suffers.
Map the Journey
A simple journey map takes an hour and saves days later. We draw one at the start of every installation project.
- Attract — what makes someone stop
- Learn — how they understand what to do
- Play — the core interaction itself
- Reward — what they gain at the end
- Leave — what happens next, including the next visitor

Add Storyboards
Sketch each stage as a simple panel with notes about screens, sound and staff roles. Rough drawings are enough, and they help the whole team see the same picture.
Test the Map
Walk through the storyboard with someone unfamiliar with the project and note where they hesitate. Agencies can use journey maps in client presentations via our partnership programme.
