Something Will Go Wrong
Cables get kicked, screens fail and software crashes at the worst moment. Good planning does not prevent every fault, but it makes sure a small fault stays small.
What to Carry
Think about the parts that are cheapest to replace and most likely to fail. We pack contingency kits for our live activations based on what has gone wrong before.
- Spare cables and adaptors — the most common failure point
- A backup computer — preloaded and ready to swap in
- Power extras — extension leads, adaptors and surge protection
- Duplicate storage — content copies on separate drives
- Basic tools and tape — for quick fixes on the day

Plan the Fallback
Decide what happens if the technology cannot be fixed. A simpler version of the activation, a printed alternative or a staffed demo can keep visitors engaged while repairs happen.
Write It Down
Create a short fault guide that anyone on the team can follow, and list who to call. Agencies planning for clients can discuss risk planning with us through our partnership programme.
