Let the Room Control the Visuals
When lights, screens or sculptures respond to music or voices, a space feels alive. Audiences understand the connection immediately, so these pieces work well at events, bars, festivals and brand spaces.
How It Works
The core idea is simple, although doing it well takes care. In our installation work the chain looks like this.
- Audio input — a microphone or a direct feed from the sound system
- Analysis — software splitting the sound into bass, mid and treble
- Mapping — deciding which sound drives which visual
- Output — lights, video or movement responding in real time
- Smoothing — softening reactions so the result looks natural

Make It Work in a Real Venue
A microphone in a noisy room hears everything, so a direct line from the mixing desk is usually cleaner than room sound. Test with silence, quiet speech and loud music, so the piece looks sensible in all three.
Keep sound levels sensible for visitors and staff. Loud installations need thought about hearing protection and neighbours.
Keep the Design Disciplined
Too much reaction looks chaotic. A few well-chosen links between sound and light usually beat everything flashing at once. Agencies can brief us with the mood they want through our partner service and we will propose the mapping.
