More Than a Screen on a Wall
A smart mirror or interactive display can show product details, suggest items, offer sizes and capture interest. It works best when it solves a real shopping problem, not when it is simply the shiniest thing in the shop.
Choices to Make
For retailers, our display and installation work begins with these decisions.
- Display type — mirror-glass, standard touchscreen or transparent panel
- Interaction — touch, gesture or simple presence detection
- Content source — stock data, product catalogue or editorial
- Camera use — whether any camera is needed, and what it records
- Placement — where customers will actually stop and use it

Privacy and Trust
If a mirror contains a camera, customers must be told clearly and the system should avoid storing images wherever possible. Under UK data protection rules, processing on the device and not keeping pictures is far simpler. This is general information, not legal advice.
Cameras and microphones in fitting rooms are especially sensitive, so avoid them unless there is a strong reason.
Keep It Maintained
Dirty touchscreens, outdated stock information and broken displays damage a brand quickly. Plan cleaning, updates and remote monitoring from the start. Retailers and agencies can scope this with us through our partnership service, and a WebAR feature can extend it onto customers' own phones.
