Sustainability Is a Brief Item Now
More brands ask how an activation affects the environment. Event technology uses power, materials and transport, so the question is reasonable. Small design choices at the start make the biggest difference.
Practical Measures
These are the areas we look at in our experiential projects.
- Efficient displays — choosing screens and LEDs by real power draw
- Sleep modes — dimming or switching off when nobody is present
- Reuse by design — modular parts that serve several events
- Repair over replace — parts that can be fixed or swapped
- Light transport — compact, lighter equipment and local hire

Measure, Do Not Guess
Ask suppliers for power consumption in watts and think about running hours, not just peak figures. Compare options on the same basis. Avoid vague green claims you cannot back up, because they can mislead audiences and attract criticism.
At the end of a campaign, plan where equipment goes next instead of leaving it for disposal.
Start With the Brief
Sustainability works best as part of the creative and technical brief, not added afterwards. Agencies can discuss it with us early through our partnership service so choices are practical, honest and measurable.
