The Window Works All Day
A shop window is seen by far more people than ever walk in. An interactive display can turn a glance into a pause and a pause into a visit, even when the shop is closed.
Ideas for the Window
Windows have their own challenges, so pick ideas that suit the glass, the light and the street. We often adapt techniques from our installation work for shopfronts.
- Touch-through glass — interact with content without opening the door
- Motion-triggered scenes — products react when someone stops
- Phone prompts — scan to explore more via WebAR
- Projected animation — a story that changes through the day
- Simple games — a short challenge with a reward inside

Fight the Glare
Daylight and reflections can wash out a screen. Test at different times of day, and consider high-brightness displays, window film or projection onto a rear screen.
Keep the Pavement Clear
Interactive windows can attract crowds. Make sure the display does not block the pavement or create unsafe queues, and check local planning rules for lit or moving window displays.
